Why Kaniha not doing Tamil films?

Kaniha, the 'Five Star' and 'Varalaru' actress, is back in Tamil cinema after a gap. She is playing a key role in Mani Ratnam's 'OK Kanmani' and is excited about it.
"I have not been offered good roles in Tamil. Perhaps, my marital status may be a reason. But I am happy doing films in Malayalam where I have been getting meaningful roles," she says.
Recalling that her debut movie 'Five Star' was produced by Mani Ratnam, Kaniha says she was so happy to be part of 'OK Kanmani'. "Working with Mani sir was a great experience," she says.
