Sailesh Kolanu, the debutant director of 'Hit', owes his filmmaking skills to 'Hey Ram' to a large extent.  Written and directed by Kamal Haasan, this 2000 movie has acquired cult status over the years.

"I must have watched it some 50 times so far.  I have learned a great deal from it.  Kamal is my favourite actor," the promising director tells IndiaGlitz.

There is a scene in 'Hit' in which a shot involving Kamal and Rani Mukherjee from the movie is seen.

Sailesh also admires Jr. NTR, whose performance in films such as 'Aravindha Sametha' he lauds.  "That scene in the film where Tarak warns the other person on phone is my favourite.  He will be my first preference to work with among all actors," the director says.

In terms of ambitious imagination, he ranks Rajamouli as the best.
