The release date of Brahmotsavam was declared to be April 29. Latest update is that PVP Cinema is mooting the idea of postponing the film's release by at least two weeks. That is, the film will hit the marquee only in mid-May.
Although 70 per cent of the shoot is done, the makers are not ready to release the film early on. The reason seems to be that April is choc-a-bloc with releases. The summer bonanza in April will begin with Sardaar Gabbar Singh (April 8), followed by Trivikram-Nithiin's A.. Aa.. (April 15 or 22). However, Allu Arjun's Sarrainodu's exact release date hasn't been announced. Now that Brahmotsavam has vacated April 29, chances are high that Sarrainodu will hit the screens on this date. At least one more significant film may find its space in April, thanks to Mahesh Babu's exit from the race.
In all probability, Mahesh Babu's film has been postponed for reasons like April being the most happening month and paucity of theatres. In May, there won't be a super big-ticket film. With only films like Naga Chaitanya's Premam, it will be the right time to get a grandest theatrical release possible.
