Why do Roshans avoid paying Protection Money?

Roshans are raking in crores at the Box Office after hitting bull’s eye with their successive films, but they seem to have a problem with paying trivial amounts to the Mumbai police for providing security to them. In reports published in leading newspapers today, it has come to light that Rakesh Roshan owes Rs 3.52 lakhs while Hrithik Roshan owes Rs 3.4 lakhs to the police for having provided security to them.

It may be recalled that Rakesh Roshan survived a near fatal attempt on his life when he was shot-at by the shooters of Abu Salem before the release of ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’. He along with son Hrithik has been provided with constant police cover since then. Either the Roshans are not aware of the amount they are supposed to pay to the police or they’ve been plain careless. Let’s see if after getting such negative publicity the famous father-son duo cough up the protection fees….
