In response to this, actress Kasturi Shankar has opined in her social page about the hidden message behind Kamal`s decision to wear the Pathani suit. Since it`s widely worn in northern parts of the country, the actress also doubted if Kamal is eyeing for the politics at centre.

"Why did Kamal opt for this look over dhoti? Is there a message here? What is the reason for him to not wear a Tamil veshti and instead opt for a Pathani suit? Is the target Delhi?" she tweeted.
