Rarely do we see message-oriented movies being made and when they are made, audience 'yegabadi vellipothunnaru'. That's what the scale of Janatha-on-a-rampage shows. It was released as a not-so-huge-a-favourite, but it has gone on to become an industry hit to boot. That too at the fastest rate possible.
Koratala Siva, it seems, has made himself look like a messiah of many a superstar hero. Since he intersperses message with commercial elements, some day, veteran stars with a huge mass appeal could well want to work with him. Megastar Chiranjeevi could do it earlier than before. You never know.
Much as it's true that 'Janatha Garage' wouldn't have been this big a success but for the cautious transformation in
'Mirchi', 'Srimanthudu' and now this one. Their success shows that the Telugu audience are more sentimental than usual about message-oriented movies. It's a minimum guarantee hit if you put the message across in the right way. Throw in family sentiment and you have 'manna' falling from heaven. Of course, it has to be a superstar drama to grab the maximum number of eyeballs. Just message won't do because the common man is not going to let himself be lenient toward slow pace and such things if it's a small-time hero giving the message.
