In an earlier era, Tollywood's producers used to vie for the remake rights of Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada films. It rarely used to be the case that the other way round used to happen. However, of late, Telugu industry is fast catching up in making some sought-after stuff. Needless to say, it all started with the blockbuster hit Wanted, which was originally Pokiri.

However, while it was only mass entertainers that caught the attention of other industries, of late, films belonging to genres like thriller and rom-com are the cynosure of their eyes.

The two films in news are Kshanam, and Kalyana Vaibhogame. While Kshanam, the suspense thriller-drama, has had its takers from Bollywood, Kalyana Vaibhogame is being sought-after by a producer, who is keen on remaking the movie in Tamil and Kannada.

Looks like after these two films, Srikanth-starrer Terror will make news on the same front.
