With the Competition Commission rendering the KFCC helpless in imposing restriction on the release of non-Kannada language films in K’taka, the spotlight has now shifted on Telugu films and their potentiality in that part of the State.

Why wouldn't, especially since Racha has already romped home with nearly Rs. 12-14 cr in the Kannada State since its release? Following the rain of profits, Dammu's producer has rightly decided to go for a big release, with at least 150 prints. This might translate into a very huge margin of profit for the NTR-starrer.

In fact, we are in for a big battle in the coming days. Gabbar Singh will see a mammoth release, thanks to Pawan Kalyan’s popularity there. Another film in the coming weeks that might see unprecedented windfall of profits obviously is Eega, which boasts of two big names – Sudeep and Rajamouli.

It has to be seen which of these three films - Dammu, Gabbar Singh and Eega, will earn the biggest margin. Each of these stands good chances of outshining the others in the race. Dookudu and Businessman surprised the pundits when there was a severe restriction. Imagine the potential of our films in the liberated scene.
