Ilayathalapathy Vijay starrer blockbuster 'Thupakki' has been successfully remade in Hindi as 'Holiday' with Akshay Kumar reprising the lead role played by Vijay. Now Vijay's most recent blockbuster 'Theri' is also going to be remade and the latest speculation over the probably lead star and director of this remake has surprised everyone.

It is being rumoured that Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan will be taking up the role of the immaculate Vijayakumar IPS in the Hindi remake. Rohith Shetty who had had many successful collaborations with the King Khan including the blockbuster 'Chennai Express' will be assuming the director's role. Atlee had written and directed the Tamil original.
