Chiyaan Vikram who was last seen in Saamy square, the sequel to his 2003 blockbuster movie, is currently occupied with his 56th movie Kadaram Kondan, an action thriller shot extensively in Malaysia.
Also starring Akshara Haasan, actor Nasser's son Abu Hassan and Malayalam actress Lena, Kadaram Kondan is produced by Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan in his Raajkamal Films international banner. The teaser of the movie released on Pongal had generated curiosity with its slick visuals, and now an interesting fact on the movie has been revealed.
Reportedly, Kadaram Kondan was the dream project of Chandra Haasan, Kamal Haasan's brother, and was supposed to have Kamal himself in lead role. However, due to his political commitments, Kamal could not star, and then Vikram came in as the fourth hero (other than Kamal) after Nasser, Madhavan and Sathyaraj to star in the banner. After Kamal's instruction not to take advantage of the fact that it's his production, Rajesh M Selva had narrated the story to Vikram, impressing him with his narration, and the fact that Kamal was supposed to play the role also made Vikram give an instant nod.
