"Pichaikkaran" is one of the biggest blockbusters of the year 2016. Vijay Antony is a music composer, lyricist, actor, and producer in the Tamil film industry. Pichaikkaran is the career-best work of Vijay Antony as an actor.

Last year, the composer turned actor announced the sequel of Pichaikkaran. He will be producing it under his banner ‘Vijay Antony Film Corporation’ and also playing the lead role.

Earlier, Pichaikkaran 2 was said to be directed by National-award-winning Priya Krishnaswamy of Baaram fame. A first look poster was released with the details of the initial cast and crew.

Now, the team has announced that Pichaikkaran 2 will be directed by a different director. Famous filmmaker A.R. Murugadoss will reveal the new director tomorrow at 11 AM. Pichaikkaran went to Telugu as “Bitchagadu” and so the sequel will also be made in Telugu as “Bitchagadu 2”.

Sources say that the sequel will be directed by Aravind Krishnan of Metro & Kodiyil Oruvan fame. It is to be noted that Vijay Antony's upcoming film Kodiyil Oruvan is helmed by Aravind. Reports claim that Vijay was impressed with the maker's work and roped him into the project.

Also, there are speculations that an assistant of the ace director ARM or Vijay Antony himself may direct the project. We will know for sure tomorrow. Stay tuned.
