Whistle-worthy Vijay cutout in Hyderabad

Ahead of the release of 'Whistle', Mahesh Koneru's East Coast Productions has planned to put into place a 50-ft cutout of Tamil superstar Vijay at a theatre in RTC X Roads, Hyderabad. This is said to be the biggest such spectacle for a Kollywood hero in the history of Telugu States.

'Whistle', which is 'Bigil' in Tamil, has been directed by Atlee. The sports drama will release in 275 screens in Nizam and more than 400 screens in the other Telugu markets (Andhra, Ceded). The Diwali release (October 25) has music by AR Rahman. Nayanthara plays the heroine.

The film's screenplay was changed completely at the editing table, its editor Ruben recently revealed. Vijay, like in 'Mersal', has played dual roles in the movie.
