On one hand Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has gone slow on signing any new film. On the other hand there is Kareena Kapoor, the actress sitting right at the top, who is on a relentless pace when it comes to picking up assignments by the dozens. At last count, she has signed at least half a dozen new films, all of which could release over next 18 months.

Says a trade observer, "The girl would now be seen with all the five Khans (Salman, Shah Rukh, Aamir, Saif, Imran) this year. Then there are also chances of her doing a film with Ajay Devgn. It seems like there is one big thrust that she is giving to her career before she get married in 2012. May be she wants to take a decent break then."

One isn't surprised about her marriage news though as she has publicly declared about her plans to tie a knot with Saif Ali Khan next year next year. Perhaps working in multiple films with all top Khans is her way of telling the world that she is pretty much on the top of the world even at she stares down a decade long career that she has now left behind.
