B Unnikrishnan-Mohanlal movie 'Villain' is currently on the last leg of its post-production works. There have been speculations about the movie’s release date for quite sometime now.  Finally, director B Unnikrishnan has officially announced that Villain will be hitting screens by the end of October. However, the team is yet to fix the release date. 

In the upcoming investigative thriller, Mohanlal essays the role of Mathew Manjooran, an ex-cop, while Manju Warrier appears as his wife. Besides Mohanlal and Manju, Villain has non-Keralites actors such as Vishal, Hansika Motwani, Raashi Khanna and Srikanth who play pivotal roles in the film. 

Renowned cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa, famous for his works in Kollywood movies such as Nanban and Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya, is Villain's DOP. The movie will also have much significance to special effects, handled by an international company from Poland. Also, Villain is the first Indian movie to be shoot completely in 8K resolution.

Produced by Rockline Entertainments, the film is likely to be released in 3 languages - Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu simultaneously at the same time. Villain will be distributed by Rockline Entertainments through Maxlab. With its ensemble cast, Villain will be definitely raking in quite some moolah!
