As the Kerala High Court on Tuesday refused to grant bail to Malayalam actor Dileep, there came an uncertainty over the release of his much-anticipated movie 'Ramaleela'. The movie which was supposed to hit the theatres on July 7, 2017, was postponed to July 21st due to delay in works.But with the arrest of the actor for his connection in plotting the abduction and sexual assault of a noted south Indian actress, the movie's release was stalled indefinitely.

However, there were reports doing the rounds that Dileep's Ramaleela might hit the theatres during the Onam season if the actor was granted a bail. However, the High Court denied the application and once again put the film in jeopardy. Clarifying on the movie's release date, the producer of Ramaleela, Tomichan Mulakupadam, said that it would be fixed after discussing with the representatives of various organizations. It remains to be seen when Ramaleela ultimately arrives in theatres. Stay tuned!
