Looks like Tollywood has got one more item girl to boot. It's Rashmi Gautam. Ever since the unveiling of the trailer and the release of the sensuous song from Guntur Talkies, Rashmi's voluptuous self has become the talk of the town.
The film is very likely to catapult Rashmi to mini-stardom in Tollywood, more than one-and-a-half decade after she gave her first shot way back in 2001. The 2010 release, Prasthanam, and films like Current and Bindaas earlier didn't give her the needed break. With the Praveen Sattaru film casting her in a bold role, does she think that she will be stereotyped? Even if it happens, Rashmi won't be bothered.
Will she do such bold roles after Guntur Talkies? "Yes, of course. I think I will be offered some 15 item songs after this film. What's wrong in doing item songs when eve star heroines who charge Rs. 1 cr per film do them? In fact, item songs have a greater longevity. It stays with the listeners long after the film is gone from theatres. I will be open to do item songs," the TV host-cum-big screen diva tells IndiaGlitz.
