A day after releasing the trailer for 'Coronavirus', his next movie, Ram Gopal Varma has gloated about himself. Taking a swipe at film celebs, the controversial director commented on Twitter that he made a film when his colleagues in the film industry were busy doing household chores.
"When the rest of film people were SWEEPING FLOORS, COOKING FOOD, WASHING UTENSILS, DRYING CLOTHES etc etc I MADE A FILM (sic)," RGV wrote on Twitter.
He is obviously referring to the #BeTheRealMan challenge, in which big names such as Chiranjeevi, NTR Jr, Rajamouli, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun and others participated in April. They put out video clips of doing household works. The idea behind the social media campaign-like initiative was to promote the idea that men and women have equal responsibility when it comes to doing domestic works. Most of the celebs have been working on their movies via video calls, etc.
As for 'Coronavirus', RGV has billed it as the world's first film on Covid-19. It is directed by Agasthya Manju.
