'Gulabi' and 'Nee Kosam' sensation Maheswari, everybody knows, is Sridevi's relative. Musicologist Raja shares with IndiaGlitz an unknown incident in her life.
"It's well-known that Sridevi crooned the song 'Ko Ante Koti' in 'Kshana Kshanam'. When she came to record for the song, she brought along with her a girl. Every time she sang a line, she would look at the girl. If the girl gestured yes, Sridevi would move on to the next line. Otherwise, she would ask the music director for another take. The girl is none other than Maheswari," Raja says.
Raja also claims that the 1976 Telugu film 'Anuragalu' is Sridevi's debut film as a heroine. "It's disputed by most that 'Padaharella Vayasu' (1978) is her first movie. But in 'Anuragalu', which is the remake of a Hindi film, she played a blind woman and is the lead actress," Raja says.
