Raj Tarun, before stardom happened to him, lifted an ash tray at a five-star hotel where he was there. It was for fun, he tells a national daily.

Incidentally, he is playing a kleptomaniac in 'Raju Gadu' ('Yama Danger' is the tag line), directed by debutante Sanjana Reddy. A kleptomaniac suffers from a disorder and the urge to steal in him is compulsive. While our Raju 'gadu' doesn't do it for monetary benefit, his father makes profit by selling off the stolen items.

Murali Sharma, much like in Nani's 'Bhale Bhale Mogadivoy', is playing the female lead's father. Of all professions in the world, he chose to be a cop as a youngster. The awkward thing called fate, we tell you!

Amyra Dastur of 'Kung Fu Yoga' fame is the heroine. Maruthi is screenplaying the movie that is being produced by Anil Sunkara. After much delay, the film took off to a start recently.
