The cast and crew of Priyadharshan's ‘De Dana Dan’ planned something big but had to cut short it. They were supposed to play a cricket match that was called off without a ball being bowled.

‘De Dana Dan’ team comprising Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty among others were supposed to play a match with a local team in Pune on 26 November to coincide with the movie's release and also collect funds for charity.

When everything was set for an exciting match, the organisers were informed that President Prathiba Patil's visit on the day to the city would mean security hassle and that the match be called off.

The cast and crew could just sympathise that they could not play the match. Plans are on to play the match some other day.

‘De Dana Dan’, a comedy caper, is directed by Priyadharshan and features Akshay Kumar, Suniel and Paresh Rawal in lead roles. It would hit screens on 27 November.
