The CineMAA Awards 2016 was a star-studded affair to reckon with. While two of the big stars of the previous generation to make it for the event were Megastar Chiranjeevi and Akkineni Nagarjuna, among the current crop, NTR, Allu Arjun and Ram Charan were conspicuous by their presence.

The big stars, hailing from rival star camps, took the audience by surprise by openly talking about their admiration toward their senior.

When NTR received the Best Actor (Popular) Award for Temper on the hands of Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna, the audience cheered at the sight of three big stars belonging to three families posing together. Speaking on the occasion, NTR named the Big Four of the previous generation as his inspiration.

"Chiranjeevi garu, Balakrishna garu, Nagarjuna garu and Venkatesh garu are a huge inspiration for actors of our generation. NT Rama Rao garu, ANR garu and Krishna garu will for ever be an inspiration," NTR said.
