Mahesh Babu awaits the theatrical release of 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' on May 12. In his latest interview with Nandamuri Balakrishna on Aha's 'Unstoppable', the superstar has shared an interesting anecdote involving director Shankar.
"Once, I was having breakfast at a star hotel with my family. Two girls walked towards me and asked for an autograph. I politely refused, saying that it was my private time with family. This is when Meher Ramesh (director of 'Shadow', etc.) came to me and told me that the girls are the daughters of director Shankar. I was shocked. I went down to meet them and saw Shankar sitting across a table. I walked up to him and said sorry for refusing an autograph. The director told me (in a lighter vein) that his daughters should know how heroes are like," Mahesh said, adding that he was surprised to know that Shankar's daughters are so simple.
Mahesh was rumoured to headline the South Indian remake of '3 Idiots'. But the project eventually went to Thalapathy Vijay. The superstar has always wanted to work with the '2.0' director and Mani Ratnam as well.
