When I Kiss Or Do Hot Intimacy Scene I Infuse Realism On Screen - Mallika Sherawat

  • IndiaGlitz, [Thursday,June 19 2014]
Hot and sexy Mallika Sherawat in a recent interview to a Qatar based TV Channel (English) has defended Bollywood from the allegations of objectification and instead held people responsible for objectification.

Speaking to the channel she argued, You cannot blame Bollywood for the recent rape of two girls who were later hanged on trees in a village in Uttar Pardesh, because they were not wearing provocative dress? They were engaged in work in the field when the unfortunate incident happened. Hence to project Bollywood for spreading such heinous crime like rape is wrong.

Speaking about being glamour and wearing seductive dresses to look gorgeous she said, Bollywood is movie business and looking gorgeous and handsome is important both for the actors and actresses and to allege that these seductive dresses invite rape is ridiculous.

Cleverly shielding herself on the question of skin display and the hot intimacy scenes that she portrays on the screen, Mallika Sherawat, said, I am an actress and when I indulge in an steamy intimacy scenes like I did in the movie MURDER than it is just an act. She continued, Realism is the part of acting and when actors act on screen for instance the kissing scenes that I did with my co-stars, I have infused realism. Acting is an art and when we act we have to express the emotions and the feeling as genuine as possible. This is all part of our job. It is nothing appalling.

Mallika Sherawat also discarded the common belief that girls in Bollywood are consider as attractive objects and used as means of titillations in item numbers. Citing examples of John Abraham in DOSTANA and Brad Pitt, George Clooney she said, In the days of yore girls were objectified in films but now it is just people. It’s objectification of people. If there could be sexy and glamorous men then there could be appealing glamorous women as well on screen! After all we are in 21st century!
