When Bollywood Stars turned Students

These days our B-Town stars are walking the extra mile to get into the skin of their character. Months before the shoot of the film the actors get into preparing each and every aspect of their character - be it the look, the language, the mannerisms, the body language, etc. And even learn a new skill like new sports, fighting techniques, painting, etc anything to everything to get the role perfected. This is almost like an actor taking a new vocation as they spend months learning, training and practicing, getting the nuances right. They are putting in much more time and effort and going the distance for their characters. Here are some of them:

Salman Khan: Boxing and Fencing for 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' - Salman Khan is learning boxing and fencing for his upcoming film 'Prem Ratan Dhan' Payo. He plays a double role in the film and while one of his characters will be an ordinary person, the other will be a fighter. So he has been undergoing training and taking lessons for boxing and fencing for his character.

Deepika Padukone: Sword Fighting for 'Bajirao Mastani' - Deepika Padukone is learning sword-fighting and horse-riding for her next project, 'Bajirao Mastani' that also stars Ranveer Singh. The actress explains that she would have to train in Kalaripayattu (an Indian martial art which is considered to be the oldest fighting system in existence), sword-fighting and horse-riding. The actress shared in an interview, "As I have never done a role that requires any of this, it will be hard. I will have to learn from scratch. Horse-riding should be more fun than sword-fighting, but it will also be stressful as I know that the training would have to be done simultaneously with the shooting of the film. I will shoot probably 12-15 hours a day, and the preparation will be done alongside that."

Aditya Roy Kapur: Sketching for 'Fitoor' - Aditya Roy Kapur will be seen playing an artist in his upcoming film 'Fitoor'. To ace the technique of sketching the actor has been practicing sketching. The actor has got a painting board placed in his living room along with a picture of Kartina which he is trying to sketch her face. Every day he spends some time practicing. Infact he has grown so fond of the art that he has been trying his hand in landscape sketching.

Shahid Kapoor: Horse Riding for 'Shaandar' - Shahid Kapoor will be seen riding horse in Vikas Bahl's 'Shaandar'. The actor recently posted a photo of him, where he is sitting on a horse named Rocky and wrote: "Rocky and me, getting to know each other better #Shaandar."

Sidharth Malhotra: Mixed Martial Arts for 'Brothers' - Sidharth Malhotra has learnt Mixed Martial Arts for his next film Brothers. The actor will be seen playing the role of a wrestler and has learnt mixed martial arts which is like is a full-contact combat sport that allows the use of both striking and grappling techniques. The actor shared in a previous interview, "Mixed Martial Arts is an intense and fast paced regime which conditions your full body. I have learnt it for my film and want to continue practicing it as my regular fitness regime."
