Facebook is currently in deep waters following the accusation on Cambridge Analytica harvesting data of upto 50 million users sans permission. It is said that the data were used to aid politicians including Donald Trump and the Brexit campaign as well.
Since the news hit, the social media site has been receiving negative sentiment with its users urging and voicing to quit Facebook. Co-founder of popular texting application WhatsApp, Brian Acton seems to be of the same opinion. He took to twitter stating “It is time. #deletefacebook”
The Chief Executive of Cambridge Analytica Alexander Nix has been suspended. It is worth noting here that Facebook bought WhatsApp in 2014 foo 19 billion dollars, it’s largest acquisition.
It is time. #deletefacebook
