Remember 'Sorry Bhai', a film which had its plot centred on Chitrangda who was engaged to Sanjay Suri but soon found herself in love with his brother Sharman Joshi who didn't take much time in reciprocating her attention. The film failed at the box office and all was forgotten.

However, there may be some remembrance coming in, what with Katrina Kaif's next film, 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan', carrying a similar theme. This time around, the two men in her Katrina's life are Imran Khan and Ali Zafar.

Incidentally, 'Sorry Bhai' by itself had it's 'inspiration' from the West with a similar plot being explored in 'Dan in Real Life' [2007]. That film was about a widower (Steve Carell) who finds out that the woman (Juliette Binoche) he fell in love with was actually his brother's (Dane Cook) girlfriend. However, to be fair to both 'Sorry Bhai' and (in all likelihood) 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan', other than the basic plot the entire script of 'Dan in Real Life' carried an entirely different mood and tone.

"One can just hope that this indeed is true for 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan'", says an observer, "There is a lot riding for Yash Raj Films on this film and while any similarities with 'Sorry Bhai' could still be shrugged away due to everything being 'in the house of Bollywood affair', the last thing that a production company would want is to be accused of looking at inspiration from the West."

Well, we hope so as well.
