What's common between Arjun Kapoor & '2 States' director?

Abhishek Varman’s directorial ‘2 States’ have caught on with everyone. With film being adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s bestseller (of same name), audience are very excited and looking forward to its big screen release. On top of it lead pair Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt looks refreshing in their romance and chemistry.

While Alia looks pretty different and elegant in south Indian avatar, being seen in colourful ethnic attires, Arjun compliments her well as guy-next-door. The actor also looks far different from his earlier movies in which he had been wearing that rough-tough image (Ishqzaade, Aurangzeb and Gunday). Now here’s a catch...

Did you know, in ‘2 States’ Arjun's look similar to his director Abhishek Varman. It could be anything hairstyle, spectacles, outfits or could be the design n patterns right from the subdued colours and styling for the character Krish Malhotra - all the aspects have been taken from how Abhishek Varman the director of the film is in real life.

According to sources, the director has been involved in Alia's look also but more in length in Arjun's look.
