Actor Anand Mahadevan who appeared in a brief but strong role in the last week release Papanasam` may be new to Tamil screen but he is a busy actor cum director in Bollywood. Actually the Kamal Haasan-Gauthami starrer is no this debut film in Tamil as he has appeared as temple priest in director Vasanth`s poignant film Rhythm`. But Mahadevan`s role as a father who his confused on whether or not to retain the hope of getting back his son has actually launched him the hearts of Tamil movie buffs.

The actor took part in the Thanks meet held to thank the press persons for spreading positive word about the film and making it a success. While speaking at the event, he said "Once an actor gets to act with Kamal, it will easy for him to act with any other actor on earth. A person will become a full-fledged actor only if he/she has acted with Kamal. "

Anand Mahadevan first acted with Kamal in Viswaroopam 2` the much expected sequel to the latter`s 2013 blockbuster. But the film is yet to release, making 'Papanasam' as his official first film with the 'Ulaganayagan'. Mahadevan was also offered a role in Kamal Haasan`s penultimate film Uttama Villain` but he could not take it up due to his prior commitments in Bollywood.
