What made it special for Rajniesh and Sonarika when they shot 'Saansein' in Mauritius

This week's horror musical release is 'Saansein - The Last Breath'. Not many are aware though that this is the first ever Bollywood horror flick to have been entirely shot in Mauritius.
"When you think of Mauritius, you obviously think of beaches and sun soaked sand. Of course all of this also signifies love, romance and music. This is something that Rajesh Khanna and Tina Munim realized too when they paired up for Sauten, the first ever Bollywood film to have been shot at the island nation. Over last three decades, many Hindi films have been shot in Mauritius. However, invariably these have been love stories or predominantly comic affairs," informs our source.
This is pretty much apparent from the fact that David Dhawan has taken his crew to the island on multiple occasions, be it for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi or Chashme Baddoor. Also, Anees Bazmee too shot extensively at the island for his No Entry. As for Deepika Padukone and Imran Khan, they spent some quality time together at Mauritius while shooting for Break Ke Baad.
"Now the same has happened with Rajniesh Duggall and debutant Sonarika Bhadoria too for their film, Saansein - The Last Breath," says a source attached to the film, "The difference here is that other than the romantic portions being shot with quite a few quality songs brightening up the visuals, there are horror scenes captured at the island as well."
This makes it a unique mix indeed as the scenic beauty otherwise symbolizes love, romance and music.
"Or some light hearted moments for that matter, as was the case with F.A.L.T.U. or The Shaukeens," quips a production executive, "The only time when some element of horror was captured in the country was when Saif Ali Khan traveled there for Go Goa Gone. That was a zombie flick and even the horror element had a comic touch to it. However, the horror that you see in Saansein - The Last Breath is out and out scary, dramatic and spine chilling."
We would like to see how it all unfolds when the film, which also stars Hiten Tejwani and Neetha Shetty, releases all over this Friday.
