Taking a photograph today doesnÂt even need a second person. If you have a mobile phone with camera facility you can capture yourself without the help of others and there are a number of social networking sites to share them with your public.
But a few decades back taking a photo was an uphill task. To take a photograph you have to travel to a studio, pose erect for the photograph following the instructions of the photographer (who is considered as equal to a technician) and give the right emotion. There was also a period when people believed that posing for a photograph will reduce oneÂs life expectancy. This myth was widespread even during the 1980Âs and 1990Âs especially in rural parts of India.
The upcoming Vishunu-Nanditha starrer ÂMundasupatti which is a period flick has been built up on this premise. The film which is the extended version of a well acclaimed short film of director Ram is being produced by C.V.Kumar of Thirukumaran Entertainments and Fox Star Studios.
The story of the film is a comical take on the hardships faced by a professional photographer in a village which believes that posing in front of a camera will take oneÂs life.
The audio composed by Sean Roldon has been released recently. The film touted as a comic riot is expected to hit the screens in the month of May.
