If you haven’t still watched ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, BIG SPOILER ahead.

Now with the disclaimer done with, you know what happens in the climax of the movie. Badass Thanos snaps his fingers and voila, half the world disappears. Including some of our favourite superheroes like Spiderman, Dr.Strange and Black Panther.

And one other character: Groot.

Groot’s limited vocabulary doesn’t let him speak any more than ‘I am Groot’. But fortunately Rocket and Thor seems to understand the language. But when a fan asked  the director what Groot meant when he died and said ‘I am Groot’ in an elongated, dramatic fashion, the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ director James Gunn just said what it meant. And oh God, you're going to hate him for that.

‘Dad’. Yes, that’s what the cute tree creature said to Rocket just before it died. When some fans got dubious over the translation, Gunn also assured that he was just saying what was in the script.
