Director Gautham Vasudev Menon had last directed the movie Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta starring Dhanush, Megha Akash and Sasikumar, and has a number of movies like Dhruva Natchathiram with Vikram and Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha starrign Varun in the making.

Gautham Vasudev Menon who makes appearances in his movies, has acted in extended roles in several movies like Goli Soda 2, the recently released Malayalam movie Trance etc, and he was seen recently in the Dulquer Salmaan starrer Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal directed by debutant Desingh Periyasamy.

During the success meet of the movie, Gautham Menon revealed that initially his character had an entry scene with a fight in a temple and that was the only scene he refused to act in the movie. While his character Prathap Chakravarthy getting good reviews, it must be noted that this role was first offered to SJ Suryah.
