What "Ethics" can websites after Industry uproar?

Ethics in Journalism talk about being objective to any situation and even if we are the subject, trying to remain neutral, is what a journalist should be doing. But it is impossible to achieve when "loud mouthed opinions" are being screamed on top pitch on our TV screens.
Journalism might welcome threats, might welcome resistance, might welcome heated debates but these are not packaged dramas for public to watch and enjoy.
Ethics don't just mean that we stay objective, they also mean that you periodically check with your sources and keep your point of view away from the regular news stories. If you want a place where your opinions have to be read - EDITORIALS, do the work for you.
Can you be a editor or celebrated personality who can come up with such editorials on a regular basis? Can you stay stealth all the time and hide behind names? Can you just say that all I care for is money and still run a media publication, even digitally?
Everything needs money. Hence, you need avenues where you can make it as well. As no one can mint them at their press, it is important to keep business development as a prerogative. But that doesn't mean a very bad gossip gets out hurting reputation of a good person.
That gossip could be a manifestation of hate. That gossip could be highly personal information that no one needs to know about. Do we feel safe if everything we do is scrutinized everyday? Do we feel free to interact if every word, every gesture is torn apart and ripped into pieces?
Just by putting us in someone else's shoes, we can understand why someone is saying so or for what. Ethics and Empathy are not two different sides of a spectrum. They are on the same side.
This uproar should be treated as a lesson and we should concentrate on being responsible enough to underscore the importance of being "Neutral"!
