With CineMAA Awards 2016 due on June 12, there are two things that are making everyone curious. Obviously, who will be the Best Actor, who will be the Best Director, and which one will be the Best Film are the first set of questions. The second question pertains to two small-screen entertainers who are considered as stars in their own right: Suma and Ali.

Suma, the most popular TV shows host in AP and Telangana, and Ali, the eminent 'Katravalli', have been a major attraction at CineMAA Awards year after year. Their spoofs, the way they pull each other's legs, their spontaneity - everything has been a hilarious affair to remember. Long after the event is over, their spoofs are re-visited on the Internet. Such is their popularity.

It has been the case since 2010, when Ali and Suma spoofed Mayabazaar's ANR and Savithri, respectively, to a rib-tickling effect. In 2011, it was 'Bommali' Suma's turn to scare the daylights out of 'Pasupathi' Ali, Arundhati-style. In 2012, it was a Businessman spoof, banking on Mahesh Babu's superstardom. In 2013, Suma metamorphosed into an 'Athilokasundari', while Ali confidently parodied Rajinikanth's Basha. At the 2015 MAA Music Awards, Baahubali's Tamannah and Prabhas were reprised by the two to a comic effect.

This year, Suma is spoofing Sivagami of Baahubali. Ali may share the screen space with the Katravalli-cum-Burning Star - that's Sampoornesh Babu. Sampoo is learnt to be spoofing both Prabhas' Baahubali and Prabhakar's Kalakeya. It is to be seen as to which character Ali will enact. Whatever it is, a large section of viewers will watch out for CineMAA Awards with lot of interest and enthusiasm.
