Superstar Rajinikanth has been meeting with fans for the past four days talking and taking pictures with them. On Saturday, the Thalaivar met with his Chennai city fans and revealed intriguing episodes from his life. Proudly terming himself a 'Madraskaaran', Rajini stated that the city commanded respect in Karnataka from the earlier years. Rajini also expressed his profound love to his fans by narrating an incident as well.

When the star had gone to Singapore for treatment, he received a fan mail that stated more than cinema or politics, they wanted his Superstar to be hale and healthy. This letter moved Rajinikanth beyond words. He also assured the fans that preparations are going to release '2.0' on April 14 and 'Kaala' two months later. "Only God knows what will happen after 'Kaala'," he said.

As usual, his speech also had a philosophical touch to it. "Wanting to get things in life through shortcuts is futile. We shouldn't be worried that we haven't yet realized our dreams," he said.
