Before 'Baahubali', the phrase 'All-time industry record' didn't need to be qualified. After 'Baahubali', an unqualified use of the phrase is sure to invite ridicule from alert readers and trolls alike.
However funny it may sound, you now can't mention 'All-time industry record' without behaving as if 'Baahubali' franchise didn't exist. If not, qualify it with the phrase 'Non-Baahubali records' for sure. Domestic or Overseas, this holds true.
To put things in perspective, the Telugu version of 'Baahubali-2' alone has collected Rs. 309.50 Cr (Worldwide). If you think this can be beaten, you are talking about a parallel universe. Even the second highest record will have to do with not more than 50 per cent of this figure.
There was a time when 'non-Megastar records' used to be in vogue. Starting from 10 July 2015, 'non-Rajamouli records' are the new norm.
