Weighty wait

The case of actor Karthick is intriguing.
He was one of the most talented stars in the industry. But he fell into some bad habits and almost went into self-destruct mode.
There were many occasions he kept many producers and directors waiting at the set. But he never turned up then.
Now the boot is on the other foot.
The actor, who claims that he is a completely changed man these days, has acted in a couple of movies.
And just when he is said to be neck-deep in debts and in need of a major comeback, he has been kept waiting.
Movies like Kusthy, Manadhil, Kadhalae Swasam are a few in which he has played the lead roles.
Unfortunately these films are lying in the cans for over a year. The producers have been saying that it has been difficult to sell these films. Ergo, these movies are not able to see the light of the day.
An undeterred Karthick has not lost all his hopes.
He says, "I am acting in one more film titled Senkathu Veedhiyilae and it's a powerful emotional drama which would do well at the box office and reestablish my place in the industry".
But for now, the wait continues.
