With the weekend almost here, people have different ways to relax. Some love the outdoors, while others prefer cozying up with movies and web series. Here are our top picks for your weekend binge-watch session!
Bodkin ( Netflix Series) :
In the thrilling series following Will Forte, Siobhán Cullen, and Robyn Cara as Gilbert Power, Dove, and Emmy, the audience receives nothing short of a thrilling ride with a comedic twist. Given that Bodkin is a true-crime podcast, many undoubtedly question whether it draws its inspiration from real events. That's merely pure fiction, despite the podcast's premise. It deftly satirizes the approach of some podcasters to making a sensation out of real crime, therefore blurring reality and fiction. The trailer cheekily promises "Based on a True Story" and then adds, in a saucy aside, "Overheard in a Pub," putting down people who tell gruesome stories just to get a rise out of their listeners.
Aavesham ( Prime Video ) :
Hit Malayalam comedy Aavesham, which is now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video, stars Fahadh Faasil. Mansoor Ali Khan, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Sajin Gopu also star in the Jithu Madhavan-directed film. Aavesham tracks three young people who, after relocating to Bengaluru for college, get into a fight and turn to a local criminal for help. Fans can see it on Prime Video this weekend even though Fahadh advised them to see it in cinemas.
