We would have made Rs 100 Cr profit: Prabhas

The pre-release event of 'Saaho' was held on Sunday evening at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. It was a grand event graced by the film's cast and crew and prominent industry personalities such as Rajamouli.

Speaking on the occasion, Prabhas said that director Sujith knows the pulse of the audience. "Great technicians such as Madhie and Sabu Cyril have worked on the movie. Editor Sreekar Prasad garu's support has been immense. I feel fortunate to have got to work with them all. Kamalkannan sir's VFX has contributed a lot in making the visuals look international. I thank all the actors and technicians who have done the movie," Prabhas said.

"Anil Tadani is quite important. He has been with us and behind the film since Day 1. He is a shy man like me and is like my family now. He had distributed 'Baahubali-The Beginning'," he added.

"When Sujith narrated 'Saaho' to me, he was just 24. He was in knickers when he gave the narration. A lot of pre-production work went on for one year. I and the producers had our doubts about whether Sujith will be able to handle the big technicians. But he has done it efficiently. He might turn out to be one of the greatest directors," the actor added.

"Shraddha Kapoor has given two years, on and off. It's not a joke. She had to keep visiting Hyderabad and other places from Mumbai. She has done great in the action scenes of the film," Prabhas said.

"I thank the producers, who are my friends and with whom I grew up. Had they compromised on the budget, they would have made a profit of Rs 100 Cr already," the actor revealed.

The film will release on August 30.
