Namrata Shirodkar has said that G Mahesh Babu Entertainment Pvt Ltd will bring out stories that will resonate globally. Announcing the launch of the Telugu-Hindi bilingual 'Major', starring Adivi Sesh in the lead, she said, "Mahesh and I have envisioned our banner to make the best films. We are excited to be able to tell the unique and original story of a national hero (Sundeep Unnikrishnan, who died during the 26/11 attacks)."

She further says that the honesty of Adivi Sesh and Sashikiran Tikka's vision for 'Major' echoed with her and Mahesh. "This is a film not just for the pan-Indian audience but also for the international audience," she adds.

The film will be presented by Sony Pictures Releasing International. A+S Movies will co-produce it. The makers are trying to promote the project as an international one whose sensibilities transcend the national boundaries.

To be shot from this Summer, it will hit the screens in 2020.
