So far in the history of Kannada cinema of 80 plus years on demand a President was retained or repeated. Sa Ra Govindu KFCC President completing one year term had extension of six months and now the bunch of seniors of Kannada cinema industry from all the three sectors are demanding one more year for Sa Ra Govidu.

Elections to KFCC are long overdue. Yet the seniors and well wishers want Sa Ra Govindu to continue for one more year. The reason for pressing for such demand is because Sa Ra Govindu is a go getter. He has furnished various needs to government of Karnataka and fulfilled.

Noted producer Rockline Venkatesh speaking at a meeting on Friday said several good work has taken place in the regime of Sa Ra Govindu, there is no problem as such. He would get some more good work if he continues for one more year he said.

Film personalities including Jaggesh, CR Manohar, MB Babu, DK Ramakrishna, K Manju, A Ganesh, Jayanna, SV Babu, KP Srikanth, KV Venkatesh and KC Ashok have announced a sit-in in front of KFCC demanding that elections should not be held and Sa Ra Govindu and team be allowed to continue for one more year. Thanking his colleagues for such a demand Sa Ra Govindu says the issue of remaining for one more year will be decided only at all members and sectors meeting on June 19.
