In the second part of his latest interview, Pawan Kalyan has opened up on several issues, including Kapu quota and the indebtedness of Andhra Pradesh.
The Jana Sena chief accused the YCP government of abusing its huge public mandate for political vendetta and infusing partisan politics in welfare schemes. "This government must rectify the mistakes committed by the previous governments. Instead, it's indulging in vendetta politics. Even the High Court has given it setbacks in recent instances," Pawan commented.
He said that a State shouldn't live beyond its means. "Just as children become helpless if a father becomes insolvent, so also a State will be troubled if the government throws up its hands in helplessness. Instead of pursuing revenue-generating options, the YCP government is doing the opposite. The system has been bleeding while the political class prospers," the Jana Sena chief added.
The 'Vakeel Saab' actor said that there will be protests if the system doesn't rectify itself with respect to atrocities. "The Black Lives Matter protests in the US have taught us what will happen if the police department acts like a puppet of the regime. Even a super power like America hasn't been spared by the anger of the people. If we want to avoid such 'raavana kashtam' in Andhra Pradesh, we need reforms," Pawan opined, also giving the example of the torture suffered by Dr. Sudhakar.
The actor-politician opined that online classes are exclusive. "The government has to come out with a clear-cut statement on whether it's going to be a zero year. As for online classes, government schools are not opting for the option. Children attending the classes for long hours are suffering health concerns. I myself am witness to it at home," Pawan said.
Pawan demanded that facilities at private hospitals have to be beefed up so that the healthcare system can cater to Covid-19 patients.
About the issue of quota for Kapus, Pawan said, "Jaganmohan Reddy garu had made it clear before elections that he is not going to give quota to Kapus. People voted his party to power. He and his party should once again make it clear if they have no intentions to give quote to Kapus."
