A report by Francesca Marino, published by an Indian portal, quotes some unnamed Balakot locals as saying that at least 35 bodies of JeM members being taken out by the Pakistan Army after the IAF's air strikes in Pakistan territory on February 26.
Most of the locals have no clear picture of how much destruction happened in Balakot due to the IAF's strikes. The Pakistan Army cordoned off the area as soon as the strikes happened. Even police were not allowed access to the area. Only ambulances were given limited access. And the medical personnel present in the area were disallowed from using their mobile phones.
It may be noted that the Pakistan government has not given access to foreign media to visit the site of attack probably because the truth will be out.
Since the IAF's jets delivered payloads of 1000 kg (of bombs), it's possible that several bodies were too mauled to even be identified/counted.
