AIADMK leader and former Minister K.P. Munuswamy has said that the AIADMK cadres and leaders didn’t consider it worthwhile to pay any sort of attention to jailbird Sasikala, who was out on parole from her Parappana Agrahara Prison in Bangalore.
Speaking to newsmen in New Delhi on Saturday, the AIADMK veteran said “Jailbird Dinakaran is a fraud who was kept away from the party’s affairs by ‘Puratchithalaivi’ Jayalalithaa. It is indeed funny that jailbird Dinakaran has staked his claim with the Election Commission of India for getting the frozen party symbol of ‘Two-Leaves’, the party’s name and flag.
“The documents furnished with the EC by the unified AIADMK are genuine. Dinakaran has been found guilty by a few Courts and had served jail sentences; as such, he doesn’t deserve to be responded to. There is no difference of opinion between chief-minister Edapadi K. Palaniswami and deputy chief-minister O. Panneerselvam. All documents are cleared only by the duo’s joint action,” he said.
On another note, he condemned Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker Thambithurai’s statement asking jailbird Dinakaran, who has vowed to pull down the present regime, to consider joining the AIADMK. “Thambithurai had been a long-time family friend of Sasikala and has extended a ‘friendly’ invitation to Dinakaran who doesn’t deserve any such courtesies,” the former Minister concluded.
