We are not ready for January: 'Kaala' makers

The makers of 'Kaala' have said that the film won't be releasing for Pongal. Although the Pa.Ranjith film was never supposed to arrive in January, speculative articles have claimed that it might be in the fray following the postponement of '2.0', the only other Rajini film in the making.

"Contrary to rumours and articles, 'Kaala' would not be ready for a January nor Pongal release," Dhanush's Wunderbar Films has said.

'Kaala' was supposed to hit the screens in April. Now that April 13 has been booked by '2.0', there should be a gap of a few months before another Rajini film arrives. This crime-drama, which has Nana Patekar playing the villain, could release in June or July or even later!
