In what can be called a very endearing initiative, Nicole and Scott Endersby, a couple from Texas, have been taking photos of children with special needs in their favourite superhero costumes. As part of the #EndersbysHeroes sessions, they take photos of the children for free, making a few dreams of the kids come true.

The couple has three children, and two of them have autism. Their love for superheroes inspired them to start the project. Scott talking to InsideEdition.com said: “To us, they are the true heroes in everyday life. We wanted to bring more awareness to the special needs community and we also wanted to create a sense of community support through our photography sessions.”

The children also get to keep their costumes after the photoshoot. The photos will also be displayed as movie posters at a sensory-friendly viewing of "Toy Story 4” hosted by the couple this month. As of now, they organize a minimum of two photo session events annually, with the information displayed on their Facebook page. The best part of the initiative seems to be what Scott described about the children. He said: “We have seen a lot of smiles, excitement, joy and a sense of acceptance. It’s been a great joy to us personally to see all the kids' personalities shine through their becoming their favourite hero.”
