Was Thamans speech really controversial?

Speaking at the success event of 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' on Sunday, Thaman said in a flow the makers of the movie have claimed only honest box-office collections. While the music director may not have meant anything against the makers of 'Sarileru Neekevvaru', the timing of the comment has sparked a controversy.

"Thaman, who has always stayed away from controversies, seemed to have made the comments in good faith. Why should the comments be taken as anti-'Sarileru'? Maybe, his intent was to just drive home the point that the figures claimed by the makers of 'AVPL' are honest and nothing more. Allu Arjun and Trivikram Srinivas were seen laughing along with the remark. It shows that it was non-controversial," an observer says.

Rest of Thaman's speech was cool. "Working on this movie has been a strain. Bunny did ask me for a 100 million song from me. I just nodded my head, not knowing whether I will be able to do it. Trivikram garu is the coolest director out there. It took me 10 years and 100 movies for me to win his heart (starting from 'Aravindha Sametha'). When I did 'Kick', I questioned myself when I will be able to work with Trivikram garu," Thaman said.

He added, "It's my hat-trick with Bunny. All six songs in 'Race Gurram' were a hit, so also the six songs in 'Sarrainodu'."

Thaman also promised that a 1 billion (views) song is loading for Bunny. Big one, this!
