Was singer Shaan really stoned by spectators? Find out

Playback singer Shaan is in the news ever since he gave a performance in Assam on Tuesday. It was reported by sections of media that the singer was hit with stones and paper balls during a concert in Guwahati's Sarusajai stadium after he sang a Bengali song. (There is some antipathy against Bengali language in Assam).

Is there any truth in the reports? Going by Shaan's own admission, spectators didn't go wild at all. "Complete lies!!! One paper ticket folded up was thrown on stage by one person after vigorously gesturing and shouting to stop singing. That’s all ... please stop these wild speculations and lies'.

Just for the records ...loved my Assam tour!! Saw the most fascinating sights...made new friends..had huge turnouts at every concert. Over one unfortunate incident, it would be very wrong to tarnish this beautiful state!!! Whatever happened was in the heat of the moment," Shaan wrote on Twitter.

The media did sensationalize the issue and it's good that the singer put the record straight immediately.
