War of stars mars 'Aptha Mitha' fest

A stand-off between two Kannada film stars is dampening first anniversary celebrations of the phenomenal box-office success, "Aptha Mithra".
"I will not be foolish enough to organize a big function to mark the anniversary my film "Aptha Mithra" without ensuring the presence of its lead actor Vishnuvardhan," said the film's producer Dwarakish, who is also a reputed director and actor.
Film industry sources, however, say that the differences between Vishnuvardhan and Dwarakish, who also acted in the film, are too serious to have them together in any celebrations.
A celebration was organized earlier by Vishnuvardhan and the film's director, Vasu. Though Dwarakish was invited, he did not attend the function.
Sources say Dwarakish considers "Aptha Mithra" his brainchild, though the film's hero and the director have dominated the continuing anniversary festivities.
