Walt Disney Pictures has been hit hard by a lawsuit for allegedly stealing the ideas behind their Academy award winning 'Zootopia'.
The lawsuit has been filed by writer producer Gary L. Goldman, popular for his work in 'Total Recall', 'Minority Report' among others. Disney has been accused of plagiarising the work of Goldman's 'Zootopia' and recreating a movie with similar characters, settings and dialogues.
Goldman reportedly pitched the concept of 'Zootopia' to Disney, once in 2000 and later in 2009, but was denied. Disney, however, rubbished the allegations of the writer.
'Zootopia' has grossed over $1 billion worldwide and has also won the Oscar for the Best Animated Feature film.
